Built by the Sino Eagle Group, the Aquila 36 power catamaran is a versatile outboard-powered dayboat that is also capable of weekending and angling adventures. There are two en suite staterooms, one in each hull, with nearly queen-size berths and 6-foot-6-inch headroom. On the main deck, which can be covered by an optional fiberglass hardtop, cruisers have a dinette, a cooktop, a fridge, a sink and a smokeless grill. Top speed is 35 knots with 350 hp Mercury Verados. As of July, there were 11 Aquila 36s available, ranging from $439,000 to $725,000.

From the Archive

“The Aquila 36 is a departure from her sisterships in that she is an outboard-powered, express-cruiser-style catamaran, but she also adheres to MarineMax’s philosophies. With a single main living level from bow to stern and a beam of 14 feet, 7 inches, the Aquila 36 is like a bowrider on steroids. She has seating that can handle 20 adults for outings and barbecues, and there are two staterooms below, one in each hull, for family weekending.”

The brokerage team at Lyman-Morse in Maine says a passionate owner has breathed new life into Papagayo, a Wilbur 38 that launched in 1983.

A five-year refit at Wilbur Yachts, also in Maine, has left the Downeast classic in a condition that Lyman-Morse brokers say “many would consider to be better than new.”

All the systems were replaced with modern equipment, including wiring, electronics, the 725 hp Volvo Penta diesel engine and the Northern Lights generator.

There’s also new fuel tanks, a new barrier coat on the bottom of the fiberglass hull, new paint throughout the vessel and new detailing, such as the teak butterfly hatch on the cabin top.

What’s the asking price for Papagayo? It’s $819,000.

Powered by twin 1,800 hp Caterpillar C32 diesels, the Hatteras Yachts GT60 is an angler’s 42-knot dream. Fishing amenities include a freezer forward of the console, a dry box forward, rod stowage beneath settees and options such as a West Coast-style cockpit baitwell. The GT60’s cockpit can also support a fighting chair or a removable rocket launcher.

This battlewagon can come with four staterooms and three heads, or three staterooms and two heads. As of June, there were two GT60s available, at $1,749,000 and $2,490,000.

From the Archive

“I have never been aboard a Hatteras with anywhere near as much customization as this boat. From the transom livewell to the hydraulically operated tuna tower, this boat has been changed and upgraded dramatically, making an already great ride a really great ride. This project should alert anyone considering the pros and cons of custom versus production that it may just be possible to have a little bit of both.”

Burger Boat Company says construction is progressing on the first two hulls of the Burger 180, with Hull No. 1 already sold and Hull No. 2 still available for purchase.

The Wisconsin shipyard, now celebrating its 160th year in business, says the Burger 180 is designed for a “limitless lifestyle.” It has a full-beam, main-deck master stateroom and accommodations for as many as 10 guests in four lower-deck staterooms that convert into family suites.

Outdoor dining is on the bridge deck aft, adjacent to the sky lounge. There’s also a seating area for guests forward of the pilothouse with wide views. Up on the sundeck, Burger offers a pool that can be partitioned into a pool-hot tub combination.

The yacht’s tender bay can hold a 37-footer, launched and retrieved with a Nautical Structures hydraulic system.

What is the range of the Burger 180? The shipyard says the yacht will be able to achieve 4,000 nautical miles at 11 knots, backed by twin Caterpillar 3512C IMO Tier II engines.

Denison Yachting says the owner of the Nordhavn 96 Lacey Kay is now asking $10.2 million for the yacht, which is lying in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Lacey Kay is the third hull that was built of the Nordhavn 96, a model that evolved as a larger version of the Nordhavn 86. The current owner of Lacey Kay commissioned the yacht with an eye toward being able to run with minimal crew (or no crew) and to travel what Denison calls “big, open oceans.”

The owner built Lacey Kay with additional fuel tanks, creating an overall fuel capacity of 9,575 gallons. At a speed of 9 knots, the yacht burns 20 gallons per hour, according to Denison’s team. Maximum speed is 12 knots.

Also notable is that Lacey Kay has the master stateroom on the second deck, a custom layout choice.

What kind of range can Lacey Kay achieve? According to Denison, range is 3,000 nautical miles at 9 knots.

United Yacht Sales has listed the 1999 Cape Fear 47 Never Enough for sale. It’s the boat that was featured in season one of HBO’s series The Sopranos as Tony Soprano’s personal ride, The Stugots.

“We’re excited to bring a piece of television history to the yacht brokerage market,” United broker Paul Ouimette stated in a press release. “It’s not every day you get to say you’ve listed for sale Tony Soprano’s boat.”

The asking price for the custom sportfishing yacht is $299,000. It’s lying in Stamford, Connecticut.

“My client purchased this Cape Fear in 2016 mostly because he and his family love to fish,” Ouimette added. “Of course, there is a cool factor to having the boat that was in The Sopranos and makes for a great conversation piece. People want to experience a piece of television history.”

The yacht has twin 625-horsepower Detroit Diesel engines. The rebuilt port engine is showing 220 hours; the starboard engine has 2,200 hours on it.

Onboard equipment includes Garmin displays, open-array radar and SideScan sonar. For overnight fishing trips, there are two staterooms and two heads.

Did Tony Soprano own other boats throughout the series? Yes. He had three. In season two, what was supposed to be the same boat as season one was actually a 43-foot Egg Harbor. The Stugots II that came along later in the series was a 55-foot Ocean Yacht.
