The brokerage team at Lyman-Morse in Maine says a passionate owner has breathed new life into Papagayo, a Wilbur 38 that launched in 1983.

A five-year refit at Wilbur Yachts, also in Maine, has left the Downeast classic in a condition that Lyman-Morse brokers say “many would consider to be better than new.”

All the systems were replaced with modern equipment, including wiring, electronics, the 725 hp Volvo Penta diesel engine and the Northern Lights generator.

There’s also new fuel tanks, a new barrier coat on the bottom of the fiberglass hull, new paint throughout the vessel and new detailing, such as the teak butterfly hatch on the cabin top.

What’s the asking price for Papagayo? It’s $819,000.
