U.S. Coast Guard Makes Yacht Rescue

U.S. Coast Guard rescues 13 from a sinking 120-foot motoryacht.

Members of the U.S. Coast Guard Miami sector rescued 13 people from the sinking 120-foot yacht Serena III off the coast of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Florida.

Video from January 25 shows Coast Guardsmen rescuing six passengers, six crew, the captain of Serena III, and taking them on a cutter to safety. The motoryacht sank just 25 minutes after the Coast Guard’s rescue.
